A structured pathway from hands-on maker exploration through to competition robotics — powered by Steam Engine by Duck Learning, one of Singapore's leading STEAM education providers.
"Every child begins as a maker before becoming a coder or engineer."
Maker Explorer is the foundation of our technology curriculum and is accessible to all students as part of the core programme. The main platform is Strawbees — low-to-no code, hands-on, and intentionally avoids heavy coding focus. The goal is to nurture the habits and thinking processes of future innovators before introducing formal robotics or coding.
Through Maker Explorer, children build foundations in creativity, engineering thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, resilience, and design thinking.
Powered by Steam Engine by Duck Learning — using the LEGO Education platform. Students engage with hands-on robotics, coding, and engineering concepts in a fun, meaningful way, with a structured pathway towards the annual National Robotics Competition (co-organised by Duck Learning and Science Centre Singapore) and FIRST LEGO League Singapore.
Confidence building with bricks, simple motors and colour matrices. Introductory drag-and-drop visual coding.
Mechanical structures with LEGO Technic, motors and ultrasonic sensors. Transition from icon-based to Scratch word blocks.
Complex gear trains, steering systems, multi-motor attachments. Variables, loops, conditional statements, data logging.
Thematic missions, route optimisation, reliable attachments, presenting to judges under strict time limits.
One of Singapore's leading STEAM education providers with deep experience in robotics and coding pedagogy.
Co-organiser of the annual National Robotics Competition with Science Centre Singapore — children get a structured pathway to compete.
Active supporter of FIRST LEGO League Singapore — wider community and competition exposure for keen builders.
Globally proven LEGO Education curriculum — the same hands-on system used in schools around the world.
Steam Engine by Duck Learning conduct their robotics programme directly at our centre. Children who attend student care can opt in without an extra commute — and we'll work with you on whether Junior, Senior, or Competition Training is the right starting point.
For families specifically targeting Direct School Admission (DSA), the Competition Training stream produces tangible portfolio evidence — competition results, technical write-ups, and presentations.
